Neil Oliver about falling birth rates

"I've had occasion to speak to several people about falling birth rates, falling fertility, and I've heard about societal factors, civilizational factors, and also suggestions about vaccines and all of the rest of it. It seems to me that there's this inescapable existential crisis.
The data is already there that across Europe, North America, and all over Asia, people aren't having enough babies to maintain their populations. I see all sorts of darkness about places like Singapore and Japan. Their indigenous populations are ceasing to be in a matter of a century or more if they remain in the tailspin that they're in at the moment. And yet, despite those inarguable, facts that the birth rates are down and fertility is down, we've still got this mood music from people at Gates and others that there are too many people. I don't see how those two facts can co-exist in a logical universe, that populations are in tailspins in some parts of the world. And yet some of the wealthiest and most influential people are saying at the same time, we need to do even more to have fewer people."
