Agatha All Along is fast approaching and Marvel Television has just dropped a new minute-long TV spot for the Disney+ series.

As well as confirming that Joe Locke's "Teen" freed Agatha Harkness from the mental prison the Scarlet Witch left her in, we get a big hint about the character's true identity...despite his name being deliberately censored.

Still, that sounds an awful lot like "Billy Maximoff" to us!

The comic book readers among you will know that he's Marvel superhero Wiccan, a member of the Young Avengers with powerful magical abilities. How Billy has been aged up since he vanished in the Hex is likely to be one of this WandaVision sequel's biggest mysteries.

Elsewhere in the teaser, there's lots of spooky imagery and a glimpse down the Witches' Road...along with horrors that await Agatha's new coven.

"I’m fully aware that the Marvel fandom is far less nice than the 'Heartstopper' fandom," Locke recently admitted when he was asked about joining the MCU as a gay actor playing a gay character. "There’s going to be a lot of people that just hate everything about the character and everything about what I’ve done with it, and I just have to be OK with that."

"Marvel fans are very open with their opinions," he noted with a smile. "But they’re not in a Marvel show, so [blows a raspberry]. I’m doing the one thing that they really wish they could be doing. Sorry!"

In Agatha All Along, the infamous Agatha Harkness finds herself down and out of power after a suspicious goth Teen helps break her free from a distorted spell. Her interest is piqued when he begs her to take him on the legendary Witches' Road, a magical gauntlet of trials that, if survived, rewards a witch with what they’re missing.

Together, Agatha and this mysterious Teen pull together a desperate coven, and set off down, down, down The Road.

The series stars Kathryn Hahn, Joe Locke, Sasheer Zamata, Ali Ahn, Maria Dizzia, Paul Adelstein, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, Okwui Okpokwasili, with Debra Jo Rupp, with Patti LuPone, and Aubrey Plaza.

The executive producers are Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, Mary Livanos and Jac Schaeffer, who is also the head writer and directed three episodes. Rachel Goldberg and Gandja Monteiro each direct three episodes of the original live-action series.

Agatha All Along premieres on September 18 at 6pm PT/9pm ET, with the first two episodes, exclusively on Disney+.

I always felt like there was something specific going on with Kathryn Hahn‘s role in WandaVision, but I didn’t know it’d be that good when the full reveal arrived. Sure, the big trailer for Agatha All Along arrived the other week, but after the joy of Deadpool & Wolverine – the excitement I got from this first look needed a fresh share.

Not only is the series led by Hahn, but this cast is darn epic – with Aubrey Plaza, and Patti LuPone involved, plus Joe Locke, Sasheer Zamata, Ali Ahn, Maria Dizzia, Paul Adelstein, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, Okwui Okpokwasili, and Debra Jo Rupp. Showrunner Jac Schaeffer brings it all to life, with Schaeffer, Rachel Goldberg and Gandja Montiero directing.

Here’s the trailer:
Agatha All Along isn't just an Emmy-winning earworm anymore — it's a whole Marvel Disney+ show.

The upcoming series centers on witch Agatha Harkness (Kathryn Hahn, Tiny Beautiful Things), first introduced in WandaVision. Following her climactic battle with Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen, Love and Death), Agatha finds herself trapped in a distorted spell — one where she's doing her best Kate Winslet in Mare of Easttown impression.

It's not long before a mysterious goth teen (Heartstopper's Joe Locke) frees Agatha and asks her to take him down the legendary Witches' Road. There's just one problem: Agatha doesn't have her powers anymore. She'll have to assemble a coven if she has any chance of surviving and regaining her magic. Possible recruits include Aubrey Plaza (The White Lotus), Patti LuPone (Beau Is Afraid) and Sasheer Zamata (Home Economics), whose presences alone make this the MCU's most legendary team-up. (Sorry to the Avengers.)

Rounding out Agatha All Along's stellar cast are Ali Ahn, Maria Dizzia, Paul Adelstein, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, Okwui Okpokwasili, and Debra Jo Rupp.

The first two episodes of Agatha All Along premiere Sept. 18 on Disney+.

The cast of the Marvel series “Agatha All Along” unveiled the second trailer for the “WandaVision” sequel at the D23 Expo on Friday, as well as a special live performance of the original song that drives the show, “The Ballad of the Witches Road.”

Star Kathryn Hahn — who is reprising her performance as the hilarious, hex-loving sorceress Agatha Harkness from “WandaVision” — was joined on stage at the Honda Center in Anaheim by costars Joe Locke, Patti LuPone, Aubrey Plaza, Sasheer Zamata, Ali Ahn and Debra Jo Rupp to perform the ballad, written by the Emmy- and Oscar-winning team of Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, who also appeared on stage. The song’s title refers to the mystical thoroughfare that the show’s logline for the show describes as “a magical gauntlet of trials that, if survived, rewards a witch with what they’re missing.”

In “WandaVision,” Hahn is first introduced as Agnes, Wanda and Vision’s “nosy neighbor” in Westview, a community trapped inside an ever-evolving television show. Eventually, she reveals her true identity as Agatha, a powerful witch who has lived for centuries due to her magical abilities. After an epic fight in the “WandaVision” finale between Agatha and Wanda, the superhero takes all of Agatha’s powers and traps her inside Westview within her false persona of Agnes. In “Agatha All Along,” Locke’s character, known only as Teen, breaks Agatha out of Wanda’s spell, and then Agatha gathers a coven to walk the Witches Road in order to recover her magical abilities.

First it was “Agatha: House of Harkness.” Then it was “Agatha: Coven of Chaos.” For a time we thought it might be called “Agatha: Darkhold Diaries.” But finally, after years of waiting, we are finally getting “Agatha All Along.”

The spin-off Disney+ series was announced shortly after the breakout success of the Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany-led “WandaVision,” which introduced Kathryn Hahn to the MCU as Agatha Harkness, a powerful witch envious of Wanda/Scarlett Witch’s limitless abilities. While the end of “WandaVision” saw Agatha lose her magic and be trapped in the persona she used to try and fool Wanda, a trailer that premiered Friday, August 9, at D23 revealed Agatha’s intention to earn her powers back by gathering her coven and walking the Witches’ Road. This trailer can be viewed below.

The series will also star Joe Locke (“Heartstopper”) as a mysterious gay teen who helps free Agatha from the spell Wanda put on her and urges her to gain her powers back, as well as Patti LuPone as Lilia, Sasheer Zamata as Jen K, Ali Ahn as Alice, and Aubrey Plaza (“The White Lotus”) as Rio. Other cast members include Emma Caulfield Ford, Maria Dizzia, Miles Gutierrez-Riley and Okwui Okpokwasili. The creator of “WandaVision,” Jac Shaeffer, also returns to craft this new series, which features musical elements in addition to the magical. As part of his joint overall deal with Marvel and 20th Television, Shaeffer will serve as head writer and executive producer on “Agatha All Along.”

At Disney Upfronts in May, Hahn said to Deadline, “We can say that the coven is strong. We can say that it is hilarious, and deep. And I was moved to work with all these people every day. It was a gratuitous dream that it happened to be this group to go through that together.”

Lupone, also speaking to Deadline, said, “The production design and the set dressers, and the lighting, and the costumes, everything about it, it appeared to all of us when we saw it, that everybody on the creative end were at the top of their game.”

The official synopsis for the show reads, “The infamous Agatha Harkness finds herself down and out of power after the suspicious goth Teen helps break her free from a distorted spell. Her interest is piqued when he begs her to take him on the legendary Witches’ Road, a magical gauntlet of trials that, if survived, rewards a witch with what they’re missing. The series premieres with two episodes on September 18, exclusively on Disney+. Watch the full trailer below.

Kathryn Hahn's Agatha Harkness returns to not quite her former glory in the first Agatha All Along trailer, providing the first look and new plot details on the WandaVision spinoff series coming to Disney+.

Heartstopper breakout Joe Locke plays a suspicious goth teen who helps snap Agatha out of the spell Elizabeth Olsen's Wanda Maximoff used to trap her back during the events of WandaVision. Only now the power-absorbing witch can't access her magic.

Patti LuPone spills major secrets on Agatha: Coven of Chaos role as Lilia Calderu
"I miss the glory days," Agatha says in the footage. "She took every bit of power I had, but I can be that witch again."

But she has a plan.

Agatha is determined to travel down the legendary Witches’ Road, a magical gauntlet of trials that rewards a witch with what they’re missing, assuming she survives it. With this goth teen, she assembles a coven of desperate witches to face the Road together.

Similar to Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which was the last time we saw Olsen's Wanda and chaos magic, Agatha All Along is clearly embracing the horror elements of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with fearsome apparitions, demons, and entities galore.

Marvel has unveiled the first trailer for “Agatha All Along,” the upcoming spinoff of the hit Disney+ series “WandaVision.”

Kathryn Hahn reprises her role as Agatha Harkness in the “WandaVision” spinoff series. Jac Schaeffer, head writer of “WandaVision,” serves as executive producer and head writer for the show. Variety exclusively broke the news on the upcoming Marvel series for Disney+ back in October 2021.

The official logline reads: “The infamous Agatha Harkness finds herself down and out of power after a suspicious goth teen helps break her free from a distorted spell. Her interest is piqued when he begs her to take him on the legendary Witches’ Road, a magical gauntlet of trials that, if survived, rewards a witch with what they’re missing. The cast includes Aubrey Plaza, Joe Locke, Patti LuPone, Sasheer Zamata, Ali Ahn, Debra Jo Rupp and more. The trailer mashes together genres as it begins like a hardboiled murder mystery with Hahn playing a detective investigating Wanda’s dead body (after she seemingly died at the end of “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness”). Then all sorts of witch mayhem ensues, and Agatha reunites with some old sorceress pals to regain her power.

In “WandaVision,” Hahn is first introduced as Agnes, Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision’s (Paul Bettany) nosy neighbor in Westview. Eventually, she reveals her true identity as Agatha, a powerful witch who has lived for centuries due to her magical abilities. After an epic fight in the “WandaVision” finale between Agatha and Wanda, the superhero uses her powers to trap Agatha as her fake persona Agnes.

Before the title was revealed to be “Agatha All Along,” Marvel built up mystery around the series by calling it “Agatha: House of Harkness,” “Coven of Chaos,” “Darkhold Diaries” and “The Lying Witch With Great Wardrobe” — but it was clear Agatha was up to her witchy antics and fiddling with the title.

The hit song “Agatha All Along,” written by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, also became an internet sensation after its debut in the seventh episode of “WandaVision.” Although the return of “Agatha All Along” for the spinoff has not been confirmed, the Oscar-winning songwriters spoke to Variety about the inspiration behind the iconic melody.

“Agatha All Along” will debut with two episodes on Sept. 18 on Disney+. Watch the trailer below.
