Soccer team’s blimp crashes into houses and punctures itself

A soccer team in Brazil had a high-flying idea for generating some PR, but ended up feeling extremely deflated. Sao Paulo FC had hired a blimp as part of a promotional campaign, intending to fly it around during their upcoming match. (Presumably their logic was ‘well what are you gonna do, support the team WITHOUT a blimp?’)

Unfortunately, their flight flopped, with the blimp crashing rather spectacularly into a row of houses, puncturing itself in the process. No serious injuries were reported, although the team did go on to lose their match. On the plus side, they did get the publicity they wanted.
