Many newcomers to the gym come without a clear plan or program. As a result, they look for their favorite Instagram accounts that represent their body goals and copy their workouts without understanding the purpose of each movement or knowing how to structure those exercises into a coherent program.

Copying workouts from others on social media, changing exercises every time they go to the gym, and not keeping a workout log to track progress are the biggest mistakes beginners make.

In my opinion, a fitness program is a personal thing and should be tailored to individual goals. Copying workouts from someone at a different fitness level, with different goals, is one of the reasons people don’t see changes in their bodies like their favorite fitness Instagrammers. Instead of copying workouts from Instagrammers and changing exercises every week, it’s better to Google how to create a beginner’s program ✌️
