Why Consistency and Simple Exercises Matter in Muscle Building

Mastering compound movements and performing them repeatedly is key to achieving progressive overload. Believe it or not, when I started lifting weights, I used the same program for about the first 1.5 years.

In fact, there are some movements that I still use in my current program. Sometimes, simple things are better than complex ones that are overly varied without a clear purpose.

Disclaimer: There’s no quick way to build muscle. Building muscle is a slow process that takes discipline and consistency 🙌
