Adorable Cat Rides A Pony As If The Ground Is Lava

We are very well aware how silly this sounds. A cat on a pony? Come on, it is like a circus act waiting to happen. If you’ve ever been to a circus, you probably have seen one or two of those - a cat guy comes out with a clowder of cats, the felines all perform several tricks, then a pony comes out and the cats take turns doing a few more tricks while mounted on the pony. It was a big wow factor back then, but today, with the power of the Internet, it seems that there is a tiny jockey hidden in almost any cat out there. This one is no exception.

Well this sure is a sight to see - a bulky cat standing on the back of a pony. This video is super adorable because the cat seems to be avoiding the ground as if it was made out of lava. Will he fall off? Jump off? Or pull a parkour like move? You have to watch and find out, you might be surprised.

Simba is a big rockstar over at Decadent Coloured Sport Horses in Tewksbury, New Jersey. They specialise in Friesian Stallions, but they do also keep a few ponies, one of them being Serendipity. On one cool early spring morning, while the snow was still lingering on the ground, Simba came out with the ponies, but instead of taking a stroll around the property, the chubby cat propped himself on the pony and stayed there.

Cynthia Saldana is the proprietor of this glorious establishment and she is not at all fazed by her cat’s decision not to bother with the cold ground. “You’re a rock star, yeah. That’s a very good seat, Simba,” she encourages the feline’s idea of a stroll and the cat sure looks like he is loving every minute of it. As for the pony, don’t worry - she probably didn’t feel a thing. If anything, the warmth from Simba’s fluffy body may have done her some good.

In all fairness, this may be the first time we have seen a cat mount a horse on his own free will, but it isn’t the first time we have seen a cat on a horse at all. One bold little black cat named Dude decided that he really wanted to go for a ponyback ride in the New Jersey snow.

So after a generous invitation from his loving human sister, Dude climbed upon the back of a very accommodating miniature horse named Gallant and joined his young human. This isn’t the first time this happened and in fact some improvements have been made.

We are not all that interested in the horse’s skills, though. We are completely interested into the cat’s horse riding skills! Cats hate being on unstable grounds, so if this were any other feline, they would have jumped off the horse at first gallop. Have you ever witnessed an unusual friendship like this before? It is adorable how the nonchalant pony eats of the grass while the cat is hitching a ride on its back. Adorable!

The relationship between a cat and a pony might be a bit advantageous, but it still pretty cute. We all know what a cat loves in this world - a full food bowl and a nice, soft and warm place to nap. Nothing qualifies more about the latter than a horse's back, especially when it is so cold outside, it freezes the pony’s whiskers into icicles!

This is not the only time we have seen a cat actually doing something on the back of a horse. In another video, we see a nonchalant cat tagging along a horse, going for a miniature horseback ride! It sounds like it could be the main act in some circus show, but it is not! This bold little black cat decided that he really wanted to go for a ride in the New Jersey snow. So after a generous invitation from his loving human sister, it climbed upon the back of a very accommodating miniature horse and joined his young human.
