Mortgage Rates Hit 2-Year Lows! Refinance Boom!

Mortgage rates have dropped to two-year lows, causing homeowners to rush for refinancing. Refinance applications surged 20% last week and an incredible 175% compared to the same time last year.

The average 30-year mortgage rate fell to 6.13%, while FHA rates dropped below 6%. Meanwhile, mortgage applications for home purchases rose just 1%, as high home prices and limited supply continue to be challenges.
