To Number Our Days
Life is Short, Make it Count
Text: Psalms 90

Obj: that the brethren be wise and understand the limit of time we are given

Intro:
Basics in Life = count – we put number on things -Everything has a number
Number v= Determine the number or amount of
n=The property possessed by a sum or total or indefinite quantity of units or individuals
Days = The time during which someone's life continues
70 years = 840 months or 25,200 days or 604,800 hours
80 years = 960 months or 28,800 days or 691,200 hours
James 4:14

To Number Our Days is to:
1. Know the Start
a. Where – from God – vv. 1-2
b. When – God’s determined time – vv. 3-6
2. Know where it will End
a. Where
i. heaven/positive/established (vv. 16-17)
ii. or hell/negative/destruction (v.3,7)
b. When - God’s determined time
3. Know everything in between –
a. v.1 – “all generations”
b. v.2 – God is always is – “from everlasting to everlasting”
c. vv. 5-6 – circle, repeating process of life
d. positive, negative
4. Sum it all up –
a. We have a choice to make in regard to this. – v.12 – be Wise!
i. Involve your heart!
Message/conclusion:

Be wise, know that our time is limited.
Do the will of God now. Serve to Lord for as long as you can.
