The Air Forces demonstrated how the Skynex anti-aircraft system engages targets. The firing exercises were conducted against various types of aerial targets. The published video shows how the system is loaded, aimed at a target, and attacks it. The Skynex air defense system was developed by the German company Rheinmetall Air Defence and was presented in 2021.

Notably, the video shows the process of targeting, reloading the system, as well as the detonation of the 35-mm ammunition. One of the unique features of this system is the use of 35-mm AHEAD ammunition with air detonation to destroy targets, making it especially effective against drones and cruise missiles.

The fire control system of the complex calculates all the necessary parameters for creating a ballistic trajectory for shooting at the target using radar, including adjustments for weather conditions. A distinctive feature of the ammunition used by this system is the programming upon leaving the barrel using an electromagnet, which sets the detonator to a specific time before detonation in the air, right in front of the target.

Upon detonation in front of the target, this ammunition creates a cloud of pre-formed tungsten fragments that fly at high speed towards the target. Due to the exceptional hardness of tungsten, these fragments can penetrate almost any material, literally tearing the target apart
