Palestinian man builds house from mud and sandbags

Amid a crippling shortage of building materials due to the ongoing war in Gaza, one Palestinian man has used his improvisation skills to build himself a house on the seafront in Khan Younis. Moutaz Yahya Barzak built his house in three weeks, using sandbags, mud, straw, and some help from his friends. Barzak explained that building materials were ‘practically missing’ from the market, and that he was determined to have something more than a makeshift tent as winter approaches.
