What is Attributes of Hazrat Isa (AS) and which are his three glories

Allah Alimighty said in Verse 46 Surah Al-Imran

"He will speak to the people in the cradle and in maturity and will be of the righteous.”" (3:46)

According to Ibn Kathir, Verse 46 of Surah Al-Imran highlights the extraordinary attributes and glories bestowed upon Hazrat Isa (AS) by Allah Almighty. The verse states, "He will speak to the people in the cradle and in maturity and will be of the righteous." Ibn Kathir explains that this verse emphasizes three distinct glories of Hazrat Isa (AS).

Firstly, Hazrat Isa (AS) will speak to people in his cradle, which signifies his miraculous birth and prophethood from a young age. This attribute demonstrates his unique status as a prophet, endowed with wisdom and knowledge from birth. Ibn Kathir references the Hadith narrated by Abu Hurairah, where the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said, "No infant speaks in the cradle except three: Hazrat Isa (AS), the companion of Juraij, and a boy who was born to a woman from the tribe of Israel."

Secondly, Hazrat Isa (AS) will speak to people in maturity, indicating his continued prophethood and wisdom throughout his life. This attribute underscores his role as a messenger and leader, guiding his people with divine revelation. Ibn Kathir notes that this phrase also implies Hazrat Isa's (AS) exceptional knowledge and understanding, surpassing that of ordinary humans.

Thirdly, Hazrat Isa (AS) will be of the righteous, signifying his impeccable character, piety, and obedience to Allah. This attribute highlights his status as a model for humanity, exemplifying the highest standards of moral excellence and spiritual purity. Ibn Kathir quotes the Quranic verse, "And We made him pure from the evil of the world." (19:19)

Ibn Kathir further elaborates that these three glories – speaking in the cradle, speaking in maturity, and being righteous – demonstrate Hazrat Isa's (AS) unique position among prophets. His miraculous birth, prophethood, and exceptional character make him a remarkable figure in Islamic theology.
In conclusion, Ibn Kathir's Tafsir on Verse 46 of Surah Al-Imran underscores Hazrat Isa's (AS) extraordinary attributes and glories, emphasizing his prophethood, wisdom, and righteousness. These divine gifts distinguish him as a remarkable prophet and messenger of Allah, serving as a model for humanity.
