Warner Bros. Discovery is teaming up with Google to bring AI to its Max streaming platform, using Google's AI tech to automatically generate captions. This new tool, called 'caption AI,' cuts captioning costs by 50% and reduces creation time by up to 80%. Initially, it’ll be used for unscripted content. While AI is speeding up the process, manual caption editors will still play a role. AI is becoming a game-changer in media, but concerns about job displacement remain.
