Michael Wittmann - The Greatest Tank Ace of WWII

“Michael Wittmann, a German Waffen-SS tank commander during WWII, the most decorated tank ace in history, fought at Kursk and in Normandy and in many of the greatest tank battles of all time.

Michael Wittmann is known for his ambush of elements of the British 7th Armoured Division during the Battle of Villers-Bocage on the 13th of June 1944. While in command of a Tiger I tank, Wittmann destroyed up to fourteen tanks and fifteen personnel carriers, along with two anti-tank guns, within the space of fifteen minutes.

Since this is a history channel made film there will be some lies said about Germany. For those unfamiliar with the true history of WWII I suggest watching: Europa: The Last Battle and Adolf Hitler: The Greatest Story Never Told before hand to be able to spot the lies.

A notable lie occurs at 4:18 where they mention the master race and colonization of Russia myths. I suggest only listening to the tank battle segments.“
