The NYT/Siena and Emerson College polls are showing former President Donald Trump ahead in critical battleground states. So Harris knows she's in trouble and that's why she wants another debate. It also explains another move that she's making that is both desperate and hilarious. She's reportedly going to the border. That would be only Harris' second trip to the border in the last three-plus years occupying office. She did a prior hit-and-run visit for a few hours on her way to California from D.C. in 2021. She was met by Hispanic Trump supporters who nicknamed her "Que Mala" or "how bad." It's much too late now to pretend to do something. It's only about the election effort now and no one is going to buy it, as CNN commentator Scott Jennings pointed out. (…)
