Trump again vows to abolish the Department Of Education. This might sound counterintuitive to producing better results for student's education. But, the reality of the situation is that since the inception of the Department of Education results for students have gotten worse. Centralized planning is inefficient, stifles competition and rewards cronyism instead of merit based results. Returning to a de-centralized approach for children's education is the best move the Federal Government could make for our kids.
