Thursday I did a un-posted performance at The Drake in Laguna Beach—Rick White and Dean Grech! Tomorrow night, I’ll be bringing the One Man Band to the Westin in Anaheim, CA, right across from Disneyland and next to the Convention Center. I’ll be performing from 6 PM to 9 PM at 1030 West Katella Ave., either in the lobby or near the restaurant. It’s a free gig, just like the old days, minus the full band. Come through and enjoy some live saxophone music!

My live performance at the 1030 Club in the Westin Anaheim is always an exciting experience. As a solo saxophonist, I get to create a unique atmosphere, blending smooth jazz, R&B, and classic tunes for an audience that’s as diverse as the location itself. Positioned right across from Disneyland and next to the Convention Center, the hotel draws in a vibrant mix of tourists, families, and business travelers, all looking to unwind after a day of exploring or attending events.

Performing solo allows me to showcase the saxophone’s versatility, playing everything from jazz standards to pop hits, which keeps the energy lively yet relaxed. The setting, either in the cozy lobby or near the restaurant, makes for an intimate musical experience where the sound of the saxophone fills the space with elegance. The acoustics of the room complement the warm tones of the sax, making the music both a focal point and a backdrop for people enjoying their evening.

I love how the 1030 Club reminds me of the classic club gigs, where live music is the heart of the night’s entertainment. The interaction with the audience, the occasional applause from those passing through, and the unique vibe of the space all come together to create a memorable evening. Whether guests are enjoying a cocktail, dining, or just relaxing, my goal is to add a touch of sophistication and soul to their experience with the timeless sound of the saxophone.
