PM Modi Presses for Reforms in Global Institutions, Delivers Message of Global Peace

India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the UN General Assembly during its 79th session in New York. Speaking at the "Summit of the Future," PM Modi emphasised the need for reforms in global institutions to ensure relevance. He highlighted the inclusion of the African Union in the G20 under India's presidency. On ongoing geopolitical conflicts, PM Modi said, "Humanity’s success lies in our collective strength, not on the battlefield." The Indian Prime Minister also addressed the threats posed by terrorism and emerging challenges in cyber, maritime, and space domains. He underscored India's efforts to alleviate poverty and expressed India's willingness to share its Digital Public Infrastructure for global good. Following the speech, PM Modi held multiple bilateral meetings, including one with Ukrainian President Zelensky, marking their third meeting in three months.
