Over the weekend, Philadelphia looked like a scene from Grand Theft Auto. Street takeovers led to the hospitalization of one police officer and damage to five squad cars.

The Philadelphia Police Deputy Commissioner said, "They attacked officers. Threw various things at them. Shot off fireworks," and at least one person had a flamethrower. "They don't care about your safety, their own safety."

Police issued citations and only made two arrests.

This is happening all over the US, in cities like Los Angeles, Chicago, and even Indianapolis, without fear of repercussions or consequences.

The goal of these troublemakers is to create mayhem and brag online. Their videos on social media encourage kids in other parts of the country to do the same.

Allowing this behavior to continue affects everyone because individuals think they can get away with it when they see it happening elsewhere in the country. This is how the protests on college campuses snowballed out of control.

How do authorities expect things to end when a small percentage of these people receive tickets and an even smaller percentage face arrest?
