Hamdah Salhut, reporting from Amman, Jordan, provided insights into Israel's newly named military campaign, Operation Arrows of the North. Israeli officials, including the Prime Minister, Defence Minister, and army chief of staff, emphasised that the conflict targets Hezbollah, not the Lebanese people, and aims to change security dynamics at the border. Despite this, nearly 500 people have been killed, with significant damage to civilian infrastructure in eastern and southern Lebanon. Israeli forces claim to have carried out 1,600 airstrikes, signalling a new phase focused on the north. Despite the devastation in Lebanon, Israel's army insists that all options remain on the table, raising fears of a ground offensive. While the US opposes such action, tensions continue to escalate.
