Soup season is back, and I've got a recipe that'll warm your heart and soul! Let's get started! First, melt 2 tablespoons of butter and 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add 1 and a half pounds of cubed beef and a half cup of chopped onion. Cook until the beef is browned, about 10 minutes. Next, mix 3 tablespoons of flour, 1 tablespoon of paprika, 1 teaspoon of salt, and a quarter teaspoon of pepper in a small bowl. Sprinkle this over the beef and stir to coat. Now, in a large soup pot, combine 4 cups of beef broth and 2 cups of water. Stir in 4 sprigs of chopped parsley, 2 tablespoons of chopped celery leaves, 1 bay leaf, and half a teaspoon of marjoram. Add the beef mixture and bring it to a boil. Reduce the heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer, stirring occasionally, until the beef is tender, about 45 minutes. Then, mix in 1 drained can of whole kernel corn, 1 and a half cups of diced Yukon Gold potatoes, 1 and a half cups of sliced carrots, 1 and a half cups of chopped celery, and 1 can of tomato paste. Bring it to a simmer and cook uncovered until the vegetables are tender and the soup is thick, about 15-20 minutes. Finally, remove the bay leaf and serve hot.
