Israel has responded to the latest barrage of Hezbollah rocket attacks on the country by hitting 300 targets in the terror group's stronghold in southern Lebanon.

The bombs could be seen plummeting from the sky as the Israeli Air Force struck Hezbollah and its weapon caches.

Mushroom clouds formed as massive explosions erupted after the IDF went after terrorist infrastructure in the area.

The latest escalation follows daily attacks from Hezbollah on Israel since October 8 - the day after Hamas' October 7 massacres in which 1200 Israelis were murdered and around 250 taken hostage.

Since Hezbollah began indiscriminately firing rockets into Israel, more than 60,000 Israelis have had to be evacuated from northern towns and the government has vowed to enable their return.

The Sun spoke with Dalia Ziada, an Egyptian scholar, Middle East expert and senior fellow at the Jerusalem Center for Security and Foreign Affairs.

Ziada says Hezbollah "is not popular in Lebanon or Arab countries" and she insists Israel will have to defeat both Hezbollah and its fellow Iranian terror proxy Hamas to be fully stable.
