A funeral has been held in the Lebanese capital Beirut for Hezbollah commander Ibrahim Aqil and fighter Mohmoud Yasin Hamad, killed in an Israeli airstrike on Friday.
Thousands gathered to pay their respects, chanting slogans against Israel and the United States. Deputy Secretary-General Naim Qassem delivered a speech, honoring the two men as honorable fighters in the path of resistance and Al-Quds. He also condemned the Israeli regime, calling its actions "the highest level of barbaric criminality" seen in the last 50 years. Qassem highlighted that Hezbollah members were not the only targets; civilians, children, paramedics, and pharmacies were also affected. He emphasized that Israel has not succeeded in achieving its objectives by such crimes.
