History of Rome

Rome, founded in 753 BCE, grew from a small settlement into the heart of the Roman Empire. It became the center of politics, culture, and religion, influencing much of Western civilization. After the empire’s fall in 476 CE, Rome remained important as the seat of the Catholic Church. Today, it’s Italy’s capital, known for its ancient ruins and rich history.
