The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Armenia has sanctioned the start of this initiative aimed at organizing a referendum on the country joining the European Union (EU). As reported by the CEC’s press office, a decision was made during the session on September 11 to form an initiative group tasked with collecting signatures in favor of the draft law titled “On Initiating the Process of Armenia's EU Accession.” Artak Zeynalyan has been designated as the group's representative. The signature collection period runs from September 16 to November 14 this year, with a goal of amassing 50,000 signatures to present the proposal to the National Assembly for consideration.
