DOOM Running On A DVD Player From 2001 (Samsung NUON N-501)

Coders have shown that DOOM can run on pretty much anything with a screen, and that is no different for a DVD player - although in this case, the DVD player *was* made to play video games.
NUON-Enhanced DVD players never caught on, but before they were released, the creators of the NUON chip (VM Labs) created some tech demos to show what the hardware could do. The shareware version of DOOM was ported, not to show off any graphics prowess, but to showcase that PC games could be ported very quickly.
What you see here was done over a weekend, which for the late '90s was impressive. That said, it would be great to see someone port the game but actually optimize it for the NUON so that it doesn't run slightly better than MYST does.
