A CHILD OF THE KING!

"I’m a child of the King, a child of the King: with Jesus my Savior, I’m a child of the King."

The above poetic lines from the hymnist Harriett Buell expresses the spirit of amazement and thanksgiving that should properly attend our apprehension of the great truth that through the redemptive work of Christ, our status has become that of a CHILD OF THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY!

As we continue to examine the various aspects and facets of this great Redemption that has been wrought in Christ, we focus this week upon the grace of ADOPTION (Rom. 8:15, 23; 9:4; Gal. 4:5; Eph. 1:5), whereby we have become legitimate children and heirs of the Most High--and thus entitled to all of the attendant privileges that are associated with such a blessed status!
