I was super nervous about getting a Goshuin for the first time! But after talking with some local Japanese friends, I decided to take the plunge! Collecting Goshuins are sacred in Japan. And they make the best souvenirs! You need a special book... there are rules about what you can and can't do... I was stressed. But after getting my first Goshuin, I was hooked! And it's really an amazing experience to be a part of such a deep-rooted tradition.

初めて御朱印をもらうのはとても緊張しました！でも、地元の日本人の友達と話した後、思い切ってやってみることにしました！御朱印集めは日本では神聖なこと。そして、最高のお土産になります！特別な本が必要だったり、していいことといけないことのルールがあったり…ストレスを感じていました。でも、初めて御朱印をもらってから、すっかり夢中になりました！こんなに根深い伝統の一部になれるなんて、本当に素晴らしい経験です。
