Blackcurrant: A Natural Bone Booster Ep. 1208 SEP 2024
"This study investigates the potential of blackcurrant supplementation to mitigate postmenopausal bone loss. Previous research has demonstrated the beneficial effects of blackcurrants on bone health in animal models. In this randomized controlled trial, we examined the impact of blackcurrant supplementation on whole-body bone mineral density in peri- and early post-menopausal women. Our findings suggest that blackcurrant supplementation can effectively prevent bone loss and may even promote bone gain in this population. These results highlight the potential of dietary interventions to address the health challenges associated with menopause."
