Growing up in the west of Ireland in the 1970’s.

I was taught from an early age that animal fat was bad, even though my grandparents had survived on it for decades. It feels to me now, that someone just flicked a switch, and everyone went from drinking raw milk, eating eggs, butter, cheese and meat etc, and suddenly “supermarkets” started popping up promoting pasteurised milk, easy singles, flora margarine and crisp n dry vegetable oil. Suddenly we could get all year round fruit and vegetables from halfway round the world and ‘’vegetarian” became a popular buzzword.
I’m grateful that I have woken up to the fact that this was all driven by industry and profit. Don’t believe the lies that were forced on us, eat real whole foods that are sourced locally, and support your local regenerative farmers. Stop buying their shit foods and they will be forced to produce more quality products.
