February 2021
The Lee Plaza was built in 1929 in Detroit, Michigan constructed as an upscale apartment with hotel services. The Lee Plaza closed down in 1997* and has been abandoned since.
1981 is actually the year the Lee Plaza was added the U.S. register of historic places.
In 1968 the city of Detroit turned the Lee Plaza into a nursing home but began loosing residents in the 1980s.
Designed by Charles Noble. ( Design, Art Deco )

One of three abandoned places I explored in Detroit on the day. Part of a big weekend of urban exploring for me. One the largest places I've ever explored!
