The Commander-in-Chief of the Navy, Admiral Alexander Moiseev, presented the Nakhimov Order to a combination of nuclear-powered strategic missile cruisers of the Pacific Fleet. The solemn ceremony of awarding the order took place the day before at the permanent base of the compound on the Kamchatka Peninsula.

According to the military ritual, Admiral Alexander Moiseev attached the Order of Nakhimov and the ribbon of the order to the banner of the compound on the general construction of the crews of nuclear-powered submarines. Addressing the submariners, the Commander-in-Chief of the Navy noted that the Nakhimov Order embodies not only the glorious history of the Russian Navy, but also the continuity of generations. The current generation of submariners are worthy successors of the victorious traditions laid down by their ancestors, who smashed the enemy at sea during the formation of the Russian state, as well as made a great contribution to the defeat of the German fascist troops during the Great Patriotic War.

"I can confirm only those estimates and the quality of the tasks that I set for this compound. Of course, the highest level of training. I am directly involved in the management of these forces, I see how these tasks are solved by ships. It should be noted that these are modern ships. This is a completely different level of technology. A weapon that is, first of all, of the highest technical reliability. And I'm not even talking about the readiness to use weapons – it's extremely high," said Admiral Alexander Moiseev, Commander-in-Chief of the Navy, during the solemn ceremony.

By Decree of the President of the Russian Federation No. 325 dated May 10, 2024, for merits in strengthening the country's defense capability, high performance in combat training, courage and dedication shown by personnel during combat training and special tasks, the division of nuclear-powered strategic missile cruisers of the Pacific Fleet submarine forces was awarded the Order of Nakhimov.
