According to a new report, Americans have the worst healthcare among wealthy nations.
In fact, it says that people in the US die the earliest and live with more illnesses than people in 10 developed countries.
According to the Commonwealth fund, people in the U.S. rank last on five out of six health outcome measures, they face the most barriers to getting healthcare, about 25 million people in the country do not have healthcare and almost 25% of Americans can’t afford healthcare when they need it.
In addition, The US ranks lowest in health equity, and the healthcare system itself is bogged down with administrative burdens like billing, payment and paperwork.
The study concluded that continually spending the most and getting the least for our health care dollars – is not sustainable.
