80's Commercials: New York City Ads and WNYW 10 O'Clock News Clips (October, 1986)

Enjoy this October 1986 TV commercials from Fox 5 New York WNYW. I can't place the date any closer than that on this one. There are a couple of fun Halloween commercials from McDonalds and a drunk driving PSA. The McDonalds gift certificate commercial is one of the strangest Halloween and Easter combo commercials I have ever seen. There are some really odd TV commercials up in here alongside some pretty sad news clips. Plus Joan Rivers' voice. It's like a wasp stinging your ears. Enjoy the ride.

Highlights:

*Very bizarre Shell commercial asking you to call "Leland" to ask if he really drives 67 miles. It even lists his phone number. And look at the size of the car he's driving! I love those old american land boats cars!

*The McDonalds "I'm going as the Easter Bunny for Halloween" commercial. Why are they both dressed as the Easter bunny? No kid would want that. This is the 80's, they all wanted to be Ghostbusters or ninja turtles or something. Who goes as the Easter Bunny for Halloween? Explain yourself Mcdonald's. Shame.
