They’re likely amazed at what they’re getting away with, their evil might just be considered moderate today given how far society has fallen. No doubt they find it all hilarious, they don’t even really need to be doing any work with how bad things are. It’s all just working for them.

The humor here is in the fact that demons, which in religious lore tend to have to work hard to trick people into ruining their lives and subjecting themselves to hell for all of eternity are by now just laughing it all up. They aren’t even having a hard time convincing lunatics to do this crap to their kids.
