Exploring an Abandoned Hyde Park Church | Chicago May 2019

One of my best explores ever.
The AMAZING Tenth Church of Christ, Scientists was built in 1917 in Hyde Park, Chicago. Modeled after a Church of Christ, Scientists in Boston. Originally I thought this was a Church of Scientology.

In the 1960s it was renamed St Stephens Church. In the 1990s they moved and the Church has been abandoned since.

When I was inside and under the dome I was in shock and awe. The dome is so massive in person. Of course I never thought I'd be able to later climb inside of the dome!

This was from the same day I did my most recent video at the abandoned Hawthorne Tower, the abandoned Train, and the abandoned library. After I did videos at those three places I was going to be done exploring for the day and I even changed out of my shirt because I was going to be spending time up there before I was going to head back. But someone happened to tell me about this place in the early evening so I drove here as soon as they told me about this Church.

Maybe I should have just uploaded this last in order. This and the Hawthorne Tower are tied for my two favorite abandoned places by far.
This was my greatest day of exploring.
