LOGGING TRUCK TURNS OVER BLOCKS ONE SIDE OF HIGHWAY, GOODRICH TEXAS, 09/19/24...

Logging Truck Turns Over, Completely Blocks 1 Side of 59, GOODRICH, September 19, 2024 - At approximately 12:43 pm on September 19, 2024, an 18 wheeler logging truck was north-bound on US-59. The rear 8 tires came separated from the truck, causing it's load of logs to slam on the pavement, turn over, and pull the whole semi over on its driver's side. Allegiance Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with deputies from the Polk County Sheriff's Office, and Troopers Nick Hatton and Corporal Ramey Bass with the Texas Highway Patrol. Fortunately, there were no injuries. All traffic on the north-bound side of 59 was blocked and traffic rerouted to the 1988 overpass. A heavy-duty wrecker was sent for to clean up the mess.
