HOW IT ALL STARTED - THE BEGINNING . || Gen 8:20-22
* Gen 8:20 This is the first mention of sacrificial worship since the days of Cain and Abel (Gen_4:3-5); yet we may assume that the principle of sacrificial worship was perpetuated through the line of faithful people (ch. 5). In joyful and magnificent devotion to the Lord, Noah sacrificed animals and birds from all the clean animals and birds he had preserved on the ark. An altar is a place of connection to deities, in Noah's case, to God. You need an altar, a quiet and holy place to reach God. Infact, our heart is the altar that is desired by God Rom. 12:1

* Gen 8:21 By these words we understand that the sacrifices were acceptable and pleasing to God (Gen_4:3; Lev_1:9). The Lord received Noah’s offering as an act of devotion to Him (Num_15:3). I will never again curse the ground: The awful devastation of the earth and its fullness that the Flood caused will never be repeated. This will hold until the Judgment seat of Christ, where the nations will be judged.

* Gen 8:22 Countless times throughout the Bible we see God showing his love and patience toward men and women in order to save them. Although he realizes that their hearts are evil, he continues to try to reach them. When we sin or fall away from God, we surely deserve to be destroyed by his judgment. But God has promised never again to destroy everything on earth until the judgment day when Christ returns to destroy evil forever. Now every change of season is a reminder of his promise.

Personal Supplication
Father, help me to NEVER frustrate Your grace or take it for granted in Jesus' name. Gal 2:21
21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.
