Producer for Assassin’s Creed Shadows Admits Game is NOT Historically Accurate

In a recent interview a producer for Ubisoft’s new game, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, admits that they’re taking liberties with their portrayal of Yasuke because that’s the story they wanted to tell.

This almost comes across as admitting defeat since Ubisoft and their defenders have been trying to argue for months now that Yasuke was really a samurai and they consulted Japanese historians to confirm that. Now it seems they have abandoned this argument and are hoping this will be enough to win people over. It’s unfortunate for Ubisoft their defenders online have been working hard to alienate potential customers.
