Well, what a big adjustment from Striker's set this is! I wasn't sure if I knew rifles good enough to play well in Heroic. My character is using an unoptimized Breaking Point rifle gear set with the Diamondback exotic rifle and a Surplus SVD marksman rifle.

The biggest change from Striker's so far is that I can't be as aggressive when wearing my typical blue core Striker's set with Ouroboros/Sleipnir/Banshee/St. Elmos. The damage doesn't make up for the slower rate of fire and the awkward reload of rifles can often get your character killed. And so all activities take a lot longer.

Plus, rifles in Div 2 have this strange quality where -- if you rapid fire an enemy -- some of the shots just don't do damage even if they visually hit the target.

But I'm curious if I can get a rifle build to hit harder. We'll see. None of the gear below is optimized or ideal even for a typical build setup... i.e. Diamondback does not truly benefit from Headshot damage and prefers the entire build to be stacked with Critical Hit Damage.
