Storm Shield Forecast morning update 5/30/18

Winds will be picking up this afternoon, with a Wind Advisory in effect from 2-11 p.m. for the west side of the valley and Kern mountains and desert. Winds will be 15 to 35 mph in the south valley, 20-40 through the passes and 25 to 45 down into the desert. That's fast enough to cause issues for high profile vehicles like RVs and big rigs and could lead to blowing dust and sand as well.
