Trump War Room - Sen. Richard Blumenthal: "I am reaching the point of total outrage because the response from DHS has been totally lacking. It's tantamount to stonewalling." Why is the Kamala-Biden DHS stonewalling congressional oversight into the assassination attempt against President Trump? Sen. Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., chairman of the Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations (PSI) under the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee (HSGAC), threatened to use "subpoena power" to compel the Biden-Harris administration's Department of Homeland Security to cooperate with their requests for the probe of the assassination attempts on former President Trump.

Blumenthal said on Monday that DHS has been "stonewalling" his subcommittee, describing the department as "almost derelict in its duty by resisting our requests for documents, evidence and information that are necessary to investigate."

He went further, saying he is "angry" with the department's handling of his subcommittee's requests.

"We may need to require more cooperation from them. And we have the power to do so through the compulsory process. In other words, the subpoena power," he said.

In July, Trump was shot at during his outdoor rally in Butler, Pa. A bullet hit his ear. Some attendees at his rally was wounded and one was killed. The suspected shooter was killed by Secret Service.

On Sunday, an assassination attempt took place while Trump was on the golf course in Palm Beach, Florida. The suspected shooter is in custody.
