Miles from Home - Foreign Student Anthem - Piano Relaxed Lo-fi

Two suitcases and a heart full of dreams,
Arrived in a land of unfamiliar scenes,
Early mornings, and the fog rolls in slow,
Missing the faces that I used to know.

Streetlights flicker in a misty haze,
Walking alone in these baffling maze,
Sounds of my city are so far away,
Homesick whispers in the break of day.

Miles from home and feeling blue,
World's so large yet so brand new,
Eyes wide open, yet somewhat lost,
In this foreign land, paying the cost.

Coffee shops with eerie silence greet,
A wistful piano plays down the street,
Lessons in a tongue I barely speak,
Aching for my kin, feeling meek.

But each sunrise brings a new song,
Building a life where I belong,
Little steps, finding strength in me,
Underneath the same sky, wild and free.

Miles from home and feeling blue,
World's so large yet so brand new,
Eyes wide open, yet somewhat lost,
In this foreign land, paying the cost.
