Video of a scenario I threw together testing out "Secret Weapons" Mod added to my WW2 mod list. UK vs Nazis in a combined arms assault on an old fort being used as an outpost. I messed up by treating artillery like lightning; it may sound like thunder, and it's said that lightening doesn't always strike the same place twice, but artillery plays by its own rules.

Fun Fact: Sound travels at a rate of 343 m/s. If you ever see a large explosion off in the distance, count the seconds it takes until you hear the explosion, multiply the seconds by 343 (meters), and you get an estimate of the distance between yourself and the explosion. I think ARMA and the mods did a great job simulating such, based on the plane exploding on impact at 1:16.
