Military personnel of the calculation of the anti-aircraft missile system "Tor-M2" of the Center group of troops during combat work covered the location of troops and liberated settlements from enemy air attack in the zone of a special military operation (SVO).

Having received a combat mission, the calculation of the Tor-M2 air defense system made a march to a given area to cover the airspace. Upon arrival in the area, the military personnel carried out the transfer of the complex from a marching position to a combat position and began monitoring.

Joint work with the military personnel of the calculation of the target detection complex made it possible to quickly identify the launch of the Storm Shadow missiles. When the targets appeared, the anti-aircraft gunners took them on escort and, after confirmation, destroyed them. The operational work of the SAM calculation made it possible to prevent possible threats.

"We had to work on different targets – on drones, on cruise missiles. The ultimate goal was "Storm Shadow". Before the impact, it rises and at that moment we captured it, launched it and hit it," said the commander of the calculation of the TOR M2 air defense system with the call sign "Sayan".

Modern radar equipment available on board the complex allows operators to easily and accurately detect aerial targets in their area of responsibility and effectively destroy them. The high accuracy of combat use allows the calculation to eliminate up to eight enemy air targets using a single ammunition package. At the same time, thanks to the automatic lock function, the detection radar prevents the possibility of striking its aircraft, effectively separating them from enemy targets.

From the first day of the special military operation, the calculations of the TOR M2 air defense system unit provide air cover for ground forces, are on combat duty at the front line, saving the lives of personnel and the combat readiness of motorized rifle, tank and artillery units.
