FLINT, Mich. (WJRT) - The Dort Financial Center was jam-packed Tuesday with about 6 thousand supporters of the former president.
Trump visiting the City of Flint for the first time in 8 years.
"I think it's safe to say everyone here will be voting for you," said town hall moderator and Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders.
Former President Trump taking the time to speak about the state of the auto industry in Michigan.
"You're so set up for greatness," said the former president. "All you need is somebody smart at the top to say you can't flood our market with cars, you just can't do it."
He also touched on the border crisis, saying on day one in the White House a solution would happen.
The former president also answered several tough questions from Michiganders in the audience on issues like the auto industry, inflation, and tax cuts.
Attendees say they believe Trump will keep his promises if put back in the White House.

"He's got to get in there to save this country," said Jan Staley from Flushing. "I believe in him 100 percent, he's got a long way to go though. If he gets in there it's not going to happen overnight miracles never happen overnight, but I believe he's the only one that can save this country."
The Dort was also filled with heightened security, especially after Sunday's second assassination attempt on the former president.
The Secret Service, Genesee County Sheriff's Office, Flint Police, and other agencies assisted during the event.
The lines were long at the venue.
At one time the line went from Lapeer Road and Center Road leading up to the Dort.
Some supporters waited for hours just to be turned away.
Supporters say after Sunday's assassination attempt, a leader like Trump can't be taken down.
"We are in bad shape but I do believe God's watching over him," said Staley.

Thank you very much. That's a lot of people for a town hall. nobody's ever seen a town hall like this. You know, a
0:13
town hall supposed to have about 300 people, you have about, 8,000 people here. And equally as
0:23
important, you about 8,000, people that are not here, They're walking away but I think we have television
0:28
outside, right? So they're watching from outside when anybody like to change places with them. I thought
0:34
you were going to say that.
0:41
Thank you, everybody. Oh hello. Sarah. Mr.
0:46
President. Hello, Sarah. Mr. President. seen
0:52
anything like it. Well, it's been a great. experience. It's a dangerous
0:57
business. However, being president It's a little bit dangerous. It's uh, you know, they think race
1:02
car driving is dangerous. No. they think a bull riding that's pretty scary, right? No. This is a
1:09
dangerous business and we have to keep it safe. Mr. President. I don't think
1:17
there's a a person. certainly in this room tonight. Um, and probably anywhere in
1:22
the country. that Doesn't remember. exactly. that where they were. on
1:29
July 13th. that Saturday. When? a horrific thing
1:35
happened. an attack, not just on you, but what I see is an attack on our entire country They have. I
2:05
joined with. everyone. and
2:11
I, We know that you were tough. We saw it every
2:16
day. on the campaign, we saw it. When you were president, but I don't think
2:22
anybody was prepared. for what we saw that day. and now it's happened, not once,
2:28
but twice, you've literally taken a bullet for our country. and yet, you keep
2:35
fighting. You never give up.
2:43
The reason. That you're going to win in November. is because America needs a
2:48
fighter. and, Fighter more.
2:57
Somebody more qualified to step in, in our lead our country than you. I'd love for you to tell us. Why do
3:05
you want to be president And why do you continue fighting? even after they keep attacking you every
3:10
single day? so, We? ran. Thank you everybody. a lot
3:16
of love in this room. I love you, You love me and you love, Sarah. so, we all
3:28
we ran in 2016, and it was amazing, It was amazing. And we won. We then ran
3:35
in 2020. We did much better than 2016 people don't like to hear it, you know? Oh. he's a
3:40
conspiracy theorist, you know? We got millions and millions more votes. We did much better,
3:45
it wasn't even a contest. I was telling 1 of the papers. They said what was the difference? I said, well, the difference is, we did
3:51
much much better. The second time, but we had a lot of things. happen
3:56
that we know what those things are. So what difference because now, because now in like 48 days
4:02
or whatever it might be, uh we're going to do something that will Be,
4:07
I don't think it's going to shock the world, actually, I think the world is going to be maybe prepared already in Europe. They
4:13
want it to happen. even though they Even though they would not prefer
4:18
dealing with me in terms of, the economics, they still wanted to happen because the whole world is
4:23
blowing up and they know it's not going to blow up if I'm president here. but
4:28
so we did great. and honestly, if I didn't do. great if we know what
4:33
happened and if that didn't happen, if I didn't do well in 2020, I wouldn't even think about doing this. But we did
4:40
phenomenally well. and bad bad things. happen to we're not going to let it happen again. And now I'll tell you so, 2016, a lot of
4:48
spirit 2020 we had unbelievable spirit and then we got let down because what happened
4:54
should never be allowed to happen in this country again. but but I have never
4:59
seen the spirit like I've seen right now this for this race. Never.
5:14
never never seen anything like it. Blows it away from. 2016 from 2020 and
5:19
basically, it's very simple you're saying what we're going to seal the Border immediately we're going to drill baby. drill you know
5:25
we're going to drill at a level we're going to Try and get rid of.
5:30
With a lot of that. Administration has given us.
5:35
has I have to say that, President Biden called me yesterday. he was very nice with a very nice
5:41
conversation. I appreciated that he called about, you know, what happened? the other day. And he says,
5:55
a little while ago, I got a a very nice call from Kamala. And, and we
6:07
appreciate that. but we have to take back our country. we have to win. We're going to win and we're
6:13
going to make America great again. That's all there is to it. I think. it's safe
6:26
to say that this crowd will all be voting for you. You know. when I
6:35
think of this state, it's so sad years ago. I was given Thank you very much.
6:41
but years ago I was given an award. as like man of the year or something from an area that nobody knew
6:48
and the Press said oh, it never happened that. Well, then it did happen. They found out where it was but it was like 15 years ago.
6:54
uh, a beautiful. area. but nobody remembered it. Nobody remembered it at all.
7:00
Well, all of a sudden. like through a miracle, they found out. it did exist and it was there and I had the
7:06
speech and the speech was don't let them take your automobile industry away. They're taking your automobile industry away.
7:13
and I don't know why you're doing now. I wasn't a politician. I was an entrepreneur. I was a real estate developer. doing
7:19
great having a lot of fun doing a much simpler life than this Who would think that a developer's life is
7:24
simple but it's a lot simpler than this but I said don't let them do that because here I am in Michigan and I was getting
7:30
an award and I'm making a speech. I'm saying what am I going to say? But I just watched common sense. I saw them. leaving
7:37
for Mexico leaving for China. Do you know that right now? and they weren't building them with me? They weren't building anything in Mexico. having
7:44
to do with cars with me because I said, if you build it, we're going to put a 200%, you're not going to sell 1 car into this
7:50
country. at, but right now,
7:55
They're building some of the largest. Auto plants anywhere in the world ever built to have a friend. That does that for
8:01
a living, very good at it. He's the best, I think. and he's actually a contributor. a supporter.
8:06
but he builds the plants and I say, you know, I'd like to go see a plant a really great Auto Plant, you know, it's, uh, it's
8:13
amazing technology. Amazing? What they do. a really incredible. The the amount of automobiles they can
8:19
produce and the size of these things I'd like to see a real modern plant. and he's the 1 that does them and I said, so where would
8:26
we go? I was hoping his State Detroit. or someplace up here. But anywhere in this country,
8:31
I'll take anywhere in this country, right? So will you my greatest guy right over here? Stand up,
8:36
will you please? he's so, Such a great guy. Oh,
8:45
hi everybody. We're going to bring him back. We're going to bring him back. We're not just
8:51
going to keep you know, you're losing your job. So the whole thing. But just so they're building. So I said, where would I go?
8:57
And let's go take a look at a beauty. He said, well, we'll have to go to Mexico. Is that what I mean? I'm not interested. I'm not
9:03
interested in go. No, I want to know here. he said here, we don't Build top of the line we build smaller plants, we build.
9:10
Uh, we just, you know, there's just not that kind of a thing and I said, isn't it sad? He would, he feels that too, You know,
9:16
he's a United States. guy, but he said, if you want to see the the big ones you're going to have to go to Mexico, they're owned and
9:22
built by China. in Mexico and they're right now,
9:29
and they think, Cars there, and they're going to sell them across our line and we're going to take them and we're not going to
9:34
charge them tax. We're going to charge them. I'm telling you right now, I'm putting a 200%. tariff on
9:39
which means they're unsellable. Unsellable in the United States. and then
9:46
you wonder why it gets shot at Rite. you know. Only. consequential
9:53
presidents get shot at Rite. When I say something like that, you have countries saying this guy. but what
10:00
can you do? you have to do? you have to do what you have to do, right? You have to we have to be brave, Otherwise, We're not
10:06
going to have a country left. So what's happening? is they're building these massive Auto plants and they think they're going to
10:11
make tens of thousands of automobiles and sell them in here. No tax. no nothing, it's not going to
10:16
happen. when you put on tariffs tariffs are put greatest thing ever invented. You know, I took
10:21
in, I took in 46. Anything.
10:29
And China's economy is not even doing that well, and
10:38
tariffs off because there's so much. Money. And frankly, if they did take them off this country would be flooded
10:44
with Chinese cars. You don't have the Chinese cars. We put a pretty good tariff on. it.
10:49
It was going to be lifted. Market, that was higher
10:54
than just prior to Coe coming in. And we did a great job. We never got credit, We got credit for
11:00
the best economy, maybe ever. We got credit for having defeated Isis and having rebuilt, our
11:05
military Uh we shouldn't have given Sarah. We shouldn't have given. 85
11:11
billion dollars worth of equipment to the Taliban to Afghanistan. in in
11:18
I think. In, I think the most embarrassing moment in the history of our country, That whole thing was the
11:23
most when we were leaving, we were leaving with me. I was the 1 that got it down to the right
11:28
number where you're going to keep the Big Air Base. which is exactly 1 hour away from where China. makes its nuclear.
11:35
weapons. Think of that 1 hour away, and we gave it up, We just gave it up. 1 of the biggest 1 of the
11:41
most, we spent billions and billions of dollars many years ago. The
11:47
runways can hold more weight than any Runway ever built, think of that. Uh, there I think. 19,000
11:52
feet long which is you know 3 times what a normal Runway would be. It's a it's called baram
11:58
and we were going to keep that because of China not because of Afghanistan. 1 hour away from where they make their nuclear weapons.
12:04
So that was a good 1. We left. we left. and the way we got out was so embarrassing and because of
12:10
that first of all, 13 dead soldier. I've gotten to know their families. They're incredible families, but
12:15
they'll never be the same. Many badly injured, you know. nobody There. and
12:23
nobody ever talks about the soldiers that are badly. And they talk about 13 dead. And we always have to say that number 1. and great
12:30
families. but nobody ever mentions the fact that some of the soldiers were hurt so badly the arms. the
12:36
legs, the face, like, obliteration, we left. American citizens behind, and then that too happy. I
12:42
can imagine, But, uh, if if they're living if they're living and we also gave them 85 billion.
12:50
dollars worth of the best. military equipment. All beautiful. brand new. between the goggles and the
12:56
planes and the armor plated cars. We gave them armor plated trucks and cars and
13:02
vehicles. and so much. And they're 1 of the largest sellers now today of military equipment in
13:08
the world, they're selling this stuff. 777,000 rifles, and guns think of that how
13:13
do you how do you have that? Anyway? who would put that? We have.
13:19
71000 trucks and cars. And again, many of them. armor plated. So What happened
13:24
is when Russia looked at that they said we're going and we're going to invade. We're going to go into Ukraine. if that didn't
13:31
happen, I don't think and I guarantee you if the election were a straight election, we won that
13:36
election. We should have won that election Everybody knew we won the election.
13:43
They would have never attacked Putin. Putin never would have attacked. but the
13:48
oil prices got driven up at a hundred dollars a barrel he made money he's the only guy fought a war
13:54
and you make money fighting a war, but it got driven up because of their bad energy policies. But when
14:00
he saw that and you wouldn't have had think of this, you wouldn't have had how different would the world be You wouldn't have had
14:06
Ukraine being attacked by Russia. You wouldn't have had October 7th in Israel.
14:12
Where that horrible situation took place because Iran was essentially broke.
14:17
They had very little money and we would have made a great deal with them All we want Is we don't want them to have a nuclear
14:23
weapon. Very simple. that's all we want We don't want you to have a nuclear weapon. We would have made a good deal with Iran.
14:29
They would have been happy and I think they're going to end up being very unhappy but it's very dangerous.
14:34
and very close to a nuclear weapon And the other thing you wouldn't have had inflation. You wouldn't have had inflation because
14:40
inflation was driven up by their bad energy policy. and do you remember your gasoline started? Going up
14:45
to 5 and 6. A gallon and then what happened? is they said oh, we're going to get killed. We
14:51
have an election. We're going to get killed and they went back to my policy. So they went back to the same what they
14:57
don't, and they say we produce the same amount of trump. Well, they went right back to my policy or they would have you would have been buying you
15:03
would have had 25 a gallon gasoline. so they went back what they don't say is though. I would have
15:09
been producing. 4 times as much. and I took us from third. into first place by a lot, but we
15:15
have more Liquid Gold under our feet. than any other country in the world. including Saudi Arabia.
15:21
including Russia. And we would have had. we would
15:28
have had, we would have been so dominant in energy, we would have, you know, we were, uh, we were, we didn't need any
15:33
energy from anybody, We didn't have to protect any other countries in order to get their oil, which we've
15:39
done for many years in the Middle East. we were energy independent. sounds so beautiful to say it,
15:44
we're energy independent. we were soon going to be energy, dominant and we would have been now having
15:50
so much money coming out of the energy. We just have the best we have baram in Alaska. they say,
15:57
it might be as big might be bigger than all of Saudi Arabia. I got it approved. Ronald Reagan,
16:03
couldn't do it. nobody could do it, I got it done in their first week, They terminated it uh, check
16:08
that 1 out. Bram. Check that 1 out on it. It's, it's it's no think about
16:15
this. Between. baram between. you go. uh, to
16:21
annear. You you take a look at the kind of things that we've given up. Uh, we should be, we should have
16:26
that are base. We should have that oil. we should have. We would have had a whole different country. but
16:32
to give up, and work to give up uh, the the biggest Air Base military, Air Base
16:38
in the world and they left it. in the dark of night. with the lights on and
16:43
they did. leave the dogs behind there. A lot of people they say what about the dogs? They left the dogs behind but we
16:49
would have been we would have been Much. different. country right now. But we're
16:55
going to get it back and I promise you, we're going to get it back with guys like this.
17:04
That Sarah just want. Thing. Because this is the world's longest. answer to an otherwise, simple
17:09
question, but the difference is I give an answer that's productive as opposed to an answer that.
17:14
is not very productive, right? Like in the debate. but just to just to end
17:20
this, we are going to for Michigan because we want to be a little bit. Michigan Centric. you used
17:27
to be the capital of the world. in cars. today. you're an afterthought. in
17:32
cars. and I don't know the head of your union. I've never met. the gentleman.
17:38
John. I've never met him, but what he's done to your union and what he's done.
17:44
by agreeing to allow this country to say we're going all electric. which at some
17:49
point, they're going to end up taking back that mandate because that mandate is insane. They want to go all electric basically by
17:55
2030. and, For him. For him
18:01
to do that, He'll just real The right now, at 25% of
18:07
where you used to be, and heading south because the electric cars are all going to be made in China and Mexico, but they're all
18:13
going to be made basically, in China. We are going to bring. so many. Auto
18:18
plants into our country, you're going to be as big or bigger than you were 50 years ago. And that's
18:30
enough. That's all I wanted.
18:51
Happen. It'll happen. Fast It'll happen. Very fast. I think. it's safe to say that Michigan is happy
18:57
that you're going to be president again. And Mr.
19:07
President we don't mind that you give long answers because you actually have something to say because you
19:12
actually got something done when you were president. you know, it's a very interesting. because he She
19:18
said, I got to say, I don't think I've ever said this before. so we do these rallies. They're massive rallies Everybody loves
19:23
everybody says Till the End by the way, you know, When she said that.
19:28
No rallies, People honestly nobody does And if I saw them leaving, I'd say and ladies and gentlemen, make
19:34
America great again and I get the hell out, okay? Because I don't want people leaving But I I do have to say so
19:39
I give these long sometimes very complex. sentences. and paragraphs but they all
19:44
come together. I do it a lot. I do it with uh, Raisin cane that story. I
19:50
do it with the uh story or the catapults on the aircraft carries. I do it with a lot of different stories when I mentioned Dr.
19:57
Hannibal Lecter. I'm using that as an example of people that are coming in from Silence of the Lambs I
20:02
use it, they say it's terrible. So they say so I'll give this long complex area, for instance,
20:08
that I talked about a lot of different territory. the bottom line is, I said the most important thing. we're
20:13
going to bring more plans into your state and this country. to make automobiles, we're going to be bigger than before. but
20:21
the fake news. is, and there's a lot of them back there, you know, for a town
20:26
hall This is a lot of people. but the fake news likes to say, the fake news like to say, oh, he
20:32
was rambling. No, no. that's not rambling. That's genius. when you can connect the
20:37
dots, you got to Now. Now.
20:42
Sarah. if you could. Connect the dots. You got a problem. but every dot was connected
20:49
and many stories were told in that little paragraph. but there is something, but they say that the other
20:54
thing I say is this we had 107,000 people show up in New Jersey we had 68,000
21:01
people show up in Alabama We had 79 or 81 in South Carolina. And they'd never
21:08
said I'm a great speaker. and I said, am I a great speaker? They say, Oh no, he Rambles. what the hell
21:14
are all you people showing up for by Rambo, you know.
21:20
So anyway, thank you very much. Mr. President. No
21:26
1 has done more to fight for the American worker than you to bring back jobs and Manufacturing to
21:32
this country. tonight. There's obviously a lot of people that really care
21:37
about the Auto industry here, And tonight, we have a question. from 1 of the Auto Workers. Isaiah. here
21:45
in the audience that would like to ask a question. Sure. Where's Isaiah?
21:58
Thank you very much. Thank you. We'll build a brand new. Beast. We're going to build a beast right here. Thank you. Thank you
22:06
very much. Uh, thank you. Thank you. Yes, sir. Thank you, Mr. President for having us here tonight,
22:12
uh, I just want to let you know that, I've attended 1 of your rallies. I did not
22:17
leave early and I did not. fall asleep. Just want to let you know that sir I
22:22
did not do it. So I didn't see. I didn't see anybody else doing it either, sir? Um, my name
22:29
is Isaiah, my third generation UAW. worker. Working hard to. build
22:34
trucks here. in America.
22:45
For, and you actually came. and visited the plant that I work at. you did. and my
22:51
question to you, sir is what do you see as the major threats? to the
22:57
future of Michigan? Manufacturing? Auto working jobs. And what will you do
23:03
to? eliminate those threats sir? Okay, so, I'll get into another little bit of a long answer because when
23:08
you say major threat, to me, we have 1 really major threat That's called
23:13
nuclear. weapons. we call, we have other countries that are hostile to us.
23:20
They don't have to be hostile to us. I always say if you have a smart president, you'll never have a problem with China Russia or any of them.
23:26
Okay. I got along great with Putin. I got a long great with President XI, I got along great with Kim Jong-un
23:31
of North Korea Everybody said oh you can't get along with them. He liked me, I
23:36
got along great with him and he has a lot of nuclear force, but you essentially have 5 countries, and
23:41
you're going to have more whether you like it or not, you're going to have more It's a single biggest threat to the world. not
23:47
only Michigan to the world. and uh, you're not going to care so much about making cars, If that stuff
23:53
starts happening. and we have people that are not good at negotiation, the
23:58
war should have never happened. uh, President Biden. I want to be nice. Yeah, he was so nice to me yesterday, but you know, in
24:04
1 way I I sort of wish I the call wasn't made because I do feel that he's so, so
24:09
nice. I'm so sorry about what happened and all that, but I have to lay it out. We have very important.
24:15
and the same with comma today, she could not have been nicer, but the fact is the fact is We have
24:22
to have people. that are respected by the opponent. to buy the other Side by
24:28
other. countries that have this even Pakistan has nuclear where we have, we have countries India has
24:34
a lot of nuclear force we have countries that have tremendous nuclear power and
24:40
when I hear these people, talking about, global warming, that's the global warming. You have to worry
24:45
about, Not that the ocean's going to rise in 400 years, an eighth of an inch and you'll have more seafront property, right?
24:51
Of that happens. I said, is that good or bad? I said, isn't that a good thing? If I have a little
24:57
property on the ocean, I have a little bit more property. I have a little bit more ocean but the fact is that um, it's a, it's
25:04
a tremendous problem and we are closer to World War II today than we've ever been.
25:09
And the difference is, and I say this a lot, this isn't, army tanks going back and forth and shooting
25:14
at each other. This is obliteration the power of these weapons and I'm the 1 that revived it And I hated
25:21
to do it. But, you know, we had stuff that was 48 years old, they didn't even know if it worked. we have incredible stuff.
25:28
so does Russia, China has much less, but they're going to catch up over 4 or 5 years. It's a single
25:34
biggest. threat by far. to civilization. and nobody talks about it. They
25:40
talk about global warming. Me used to be remember used to be global warming, you know they changed the name,
25:45
you know why? Because The planet is getting cooler. Now. so now what they call it is, climate change
25:51
because that covers everything. see climate change if it gets hot cooled you know these people, I I don't know if
25:58
they're for real but if they're not they're covered by the words climate change, if it gets cooler, that's good. If it gets hotter,
26:04
that's good. global warming wasn't working so well. but the single biggest threat, okay. now, let's assume we
26:10
have a really smart president and that's not going to be a threat because we have a lot of power doing business With China is a good thing but
26:15
you have to have a fair deal doing business with Russia. They have so much in terms of material. and
26:21
things. the size of their land mass is like 4 times bigger than the United
26:26
States. the minerals and things. they have we could do great business. And you keep everybody happy you can
26:32
solve that problem But let's talk about the local problem. the local problem is that you have countries
26:37
stealing your business. Mexico is a very big 1 Mexico this year, we have
26:43
a deficit with Mexico. of 250 billion dollars, think of this with Mexico a
26:49
little Mexico. You think of it as a little innocent place we're losing our ass.
26:54
to Mexico. China. you don't even have to talk about. We have over a trillion dollars this year. I was
27:01
charging them numbers that were unbelievable. And now he's just totally giving up the ghost and we're
27:06
going to lose a trillion dollars in deficits to China a trillion. That's not sustainable. We're going to
27:12
turn it all around and we're going to do it through. taxation and tariffs it will be done
27:17
in 24 hours. and it Will change the whole planet just so, you know, Sarah China became powerful.
27:23
because they charge they don't call them tariffs, they call it a tax, they call it. They don't go a
27:28
tariffs, the word tariff is a beautiful word to me, but to a lot of people that don't understand, it's
27:34
not a beautiful word because you have a lot of people that are paid off by these countries. they're taking care of these countries and
27:39
they don't care about destroying the United States. They want millions of dollars. in fees and consultation. but we will
27:46
in literally in a period of 24 hours. we can change the whole trading of the
27:52
whole world. They've taken advantage of our country for years. I stopped it. I
27:58
stopped. so much of it. and then, we had a focus on Co Which
28:05
a lot of people say. For a reason. which I said, right from the beginning.
28:10
all of, you know, it didn't come out of a cave. They said a cave. it didn't come from France. They blame France, they blame.
28:16
They blame. I call it the China virus because I like to be accurate, you know? they call it, they call
28:21
it the Spanish Flu, they call it all different names when something comes from a country. except vagina we
28:27
have to call the co what the hell does Coe mean. to China, virus? and a lot of people think they did that,
28:34
because they were not happy with me as president I actually had a great relationship with
28:39
president. XI and it his own way. He probably liked me the most but maybe, and maybe not. I saw
28:45
that. Putin the other day. endorsed. Kamala. and, you
28:51
have to understand. these are major chess players. So when he endorses Kamala,
28:57
he may say well, I did that because I love you and it's better to be doing it. So who knows? But he endorsed
29:03
Kamala, which is a little unusual. I was watching. I said that's interesting. I think that's a good thing, isn't it? It really is. But look, we have to turn it
29:10
around and we can we're going to have a reciprocal trade tax. We're going to
29:15
have a so if China. charges 150% which they do in a car, if we sell a
29:21
car made here, into China, which you don't do, because the tax is too high. they say, to all your to and
29:28
to others. And to Elon Musk who gave us he is a great guy. He gave me the strongest endorsement and
29:36
he's a really wonderful guy. but they say to him, we don't want. your car unless you build your plant
29:43
in China and there's nothing wrong with saying that that's smart People say that we haven't said it
29:48
for many years. I said it, We have a lot of plants going up with apple and other things I said you, you got to build pleasure.
29:54
You don't build plants here. We're going to put the tariffs on your products coming in from China. So
29:59
we can do it quickly but we're going to have What's called a reciprocal. trade act. Now, I dealt with the senator, a very good
30:05
Senator actually, but he knows nothing about trade. I said here's what I want to do Senator. I want to take
30:10
the reciprocal trade, if they charge us a 100%. We charge them, 100%. He said
30:16
you mean, they judge us, we charge them. You got me? How simple could it be?
30:23
Cool. Because he Care. He's so, we're going to call it the Trump reciprocal trade
30:29
act or I'll leave the name Trump off as long as we do it. So when India, which is a very big abuser,
30:36
He happens to be coming to meet me next week. and Modi. he's a fantastic.
30:41
I mean fantastic man. A lot of these leaders are fantastic. You have to understand 1 Thing. They're
30:48
dealing. they're 100%. these people. are the sharpest, people. They're not.
30:54
a little bit backwards. They're not. They are at the top, you know, the expression. They're at the top of their game and
31:00
they use it against us. but India is very tough Brazil is very tough. There are certain countries I can tell you everyone I can
31:06
give you from top to bottom China's the toughest of all but we were taking care of China with the
31:11
tariffs. So we're going to do a reciprocal trade. If anybody charges us 10
31:17
cents, if they charge, us $2, if they charge us 100%, 250, we charge them
31:23
the same thing and you know what's going to happen? everything's going to disappear. and we're going to end up having
31:28
free trade again. And if it doesn't disappear, we're going to take in a lot of money. okay? But,
31:33
you know, the biggest beneficiary I believe is going to be your state And I won't say that to other states. I promise about Your
31:41
state. you are going to have. plans built at a level that you haven't seen in 50 years. okay? Great
31:50
question. Thank you. Thank you. Mr. President, 1 of
31:55
the other things, I think that you did that helped protect the American worker as much as anything else.
32:01
and also make our country and our community safer. Was you actually did something
32:06
about the Border. just this month. there was a woman in
32:11
my home state of Arkansas. who was killed. by an illegal immigrant. who was
32:17
drunk driving. that was deported during your Administration and came back under this
32:23
administration because they have failed to protect our country. It's 1 of the great threats that we face
32:29
that you actually did something about. Tell us what you will do on day 1
32:34
to help protect our. Okay. So we're going to be day 1. We're doing 2 things closing the border and
32:39
drill. baby drill. We're going to get down the prices. Thank you. I like, I
33:03
like this crowd. I like this crowd. No, this, you
33:08
know what your smart people So Sarah thank you.
33:21
so, Over the last. Couple
33:26
of years. I've been talking about the Border I got elected in 2016 because of the Border. But that
33:32
border was peanuts compared to what this border is that border was like a safe border compared and I did it. I did
33:38
a great job. And it also includes, uh, drugs, who came to a, you know, much
33:43
lower. look. Unless you have the death penalty for drug dealers, you'll never get rid of the drug problem. put that through
33:49
your head. Okay. Put that through your head. And I don't know of our country's ready for it. when I was with, uh, when I was
33:56
with President XI. And again, I had until Co, I had a great relationship. Once that happened, I really didn't want a relationship
34:01
because 60 trillion dollars millions of dead people all over the world. I was not exactly thrilled with
34:07
him. but before that, I had a great relationship and I said do you have a drug problem? No no, no, no. we have no drug no, Oh, how
34:14
come death penalty immediate? I said, what does that mean? Immediate immediate? we have what's called a quick trial. You
34:20
know what a quick trial is like in 1 day, the trial is over over here, it'll be 25 years. They'll get some nice liberal lawyer
34:26
and they'll have it tied up for 25 years. the guy dies of old age. So, uh,
34:31
but they have a death penalty in Singapore. they have a death penalty and a lot of countries have a death penalty, you sell
34:36
drugs. Because the average drug dealer. kills during his, or her life. 500.
34:43
people the average 1, the big ones much more. but when you hear that, you know, when people start
34:48
to hear that and I set up blue Ribbon committees I put you know nice people
34:53
dilatans from New York and from Los Angeles people that don't nothing about drugs and they're dealing with very smart people.
34:59
These dealers are smart as hell. They're tough as hell, And they make a fortune. They make a fortune. and
35:06
if you don't have the death penalty for drug dealers, you could you just wasting your time. Now, we can keep it down and we can do better than we're doing now
35:12
and a lot better than we're doing now. Because what's happening now is out of control. but we had the
35:17
lowest human trafficking mostly in women. I hate to say, mostly in women, but we at the lowest human
35:23
trafficking at 32 years, you know, my favorite chart, The chart I put down when I looked to the right. and I
35:30
my that'll be my all-time favorite chart in history.
35:36
That was basically a chart showing what a good job I did on immigration. but even if it showed, I did a bad job on immigration it will be my all-time favorite art because I
35:42
wouldn't be here right now. If I didn't look over. Let me see that.
35:49
That was not good. My all-time favorite show.
35:54
blue yellow. red. It was it was a beautiful Oh, there it is. There it is. There,
36:02
that was good. These guys are very good back. I didn't that's a, you know, the interesting thing it's always on my
36:08
left. when I, it's at rallies. it's always on my list. I only do it about 15 maybe 20% of the
36:13
time so I don't do it much And it's always at the end of a speech, but it's always here. For some reason. they dropped it.
36:20
Here it was at the beginning of the speech. The very beginning, couple of sentences. and I turned
36:26
like a deer, bolting I guess, right? They said good Hunters say this every once in a while a deer will Bolt prior to the shot and I
36:32
don't know, I guess mine was a form of but I turned around to look at it. it was right here behind me actually and my head was
36:39
at a perfect angle, and it got me, but if you got to be hit, that's the best place. And although it's a
36:45
it's a blood. the doctor said, how come so much blood he said the ear bleeds more than they I said
36:50
I'll take it. I'll take it. but, but it was, it was an amazing. It was an
36:56
amazing thing. and, and I, I have to say, because
37:02
I've I have to while we're on the subject because people do like to talk about it. Uh, a few days ago
37:07
we had an incident I have to say, secret service did a hell of a job. They really did, they caught
37:19
1 of the gentlemen. that 1 of the agents was walking a couple of holes in front. and he saw a rifle.
37:27
AK-47. that's serious stuff, right? You know more about that. my son's know more about this stuff but AK-47 that's it. That's
37:34
a bad 1. The other 1 was an AR-15. This was an AK-47
37:40
and he saw the barrel of the gun coming out from a bush. Can you believe it? This guy was all set. He was all set to do his
37:45
number. and there was no talk, He didn't say hello. What are you doing here, please? And he ends up
37:52
getting shot himself. He took his gun and started shooting him. and, this
37:58
guy ran. Right there? I don't know if he's Not
38:04
here, right. This guy. These guys do a great job. Now, they do need more
38:10
people and they've been complaining about that for a long time but he did a great job. but you want to know another sort of
38:16
a miracle so, the guy is now running for his life and he's got a car. a block away or whatever. And
38:22
a woman. is a woman, not a man. a woman. See. Women are Smarter than men. I
38:30
hate to say, how does that sound? a great, first lady
38:35
is very happy now. let me just let me just tell you. think of this, who would do
38:40
this. I actually asked I was with the sheriff this morning. I was with a couple of people from Secret Service this so, you
38:48
now have a man running not with a gun, he dropped the gun, we found the gun, but he was gone. And a woman.
38:54
driving in a car. saw a man on the street. Pretty busy Street. running. And she
39:00
followed him. and he she followed him. and he got into the car. and she stopped because she thought
39:05
he was troubled. He looked different. he like trouble. She followed him.
39:11
It wasn't very far. and parked the car behind his car and started taking pictures of his license
39:17
plate. Now, think of it.
39:23
and, Sarah think of it. No, no seriously. Who would do that? It's the women. not
39:30
from good or bad. Not from, you know? strength or heroism. Know, just you see
39:36
somebody running, I see people running all the time and you don't F she saw
39:41
something in this guy that was bad. She may have heard maybe gunshots because there were 4, I guess 4 gunshots,
39:47
actually, the guy, the shots, he never got off a shot. The shots were from Secret Service, but think
39:52
of it. Who would do this, if you took a thousand of these incidents, would even
39:57
1 person have done it, this woman. was, I haven't met her but I'd like to meet her. I'm going to
40:02
meet her, I hope but think of this She goes in. She takes pictures of the plate
40:09
and then she sends the pictures into the Sheriff's Office and the sheriff's are saying, Wow, this is
40:14
pretty amazing. and they were able to get this guy within 10 minutes at a high speed Chase on the
40:20
highway. they got him. Otherwise. would probably
40:26
have. An AK-47. they had the camera they had. the
40:31
whole he had the whole thing. It was a sophisticated guy even had the serial number taken off the, the rifle, the gun,
40:38
But think of this, So it would have all the stuff but I'd be walking around saying I wonder where this
40:43
guy is. He's in this audience, we would have a maniac out there. This woman was unbelievable
40:49
because I, I actually asked the sheriff if it happened to thousand times. Would anybody have done that?
40:55
He said, maybe, but not much, not much, So she did a, she was really amazing.
41:00
amazing job. we're glad she did. I think there are
41:09
a couple takeaways. there. 1, the women of this country. Love Donald Trump. Are going to win to
41:17
make sure we do our part.
41:40
and I think 1 of the other things. That we all know in this room certainly is that God is not finished
41:46
with you and he has big plans. Sarah, I just
41:58
want to say 1 thing. So, when I heard about this tonight, I said, uh, so where am I speaking?
42:04
Michigan? Good. I like Michigan. I want to talk about cars. I love talking about the cars because it's so simple. It's so
42:09
ridiculous that this is happening. You don't want the electric. You do want electric car 7% 8% Elon
42:15
makes a great product but you know what? And I have. Hey, I've driven his car as incredible other cars are
42:22
incredible, But you have a, a little thing, but you want to have gasoline propelled cars, you want to have hybrids, you want to
42:28
have all sorts. they say a new 1 is going to be hydrogen. on the there has they said has a slight
42:33
problem but it blows up. And if you're in the car, that could be a little problem. but you want to, you want to be able to
42:38
have whatever it is, whatever the market is and all that stuff. But they said sir you're having a
42:43
town hall tonight and I said a town hall what the hell they want to really?
42:49
They don't want a town hall. Town Hall. and, and,
42:55
I said, so who is the house? Because host or Hostess and they said,
43:01
Sarah, how Sanders and I said, oh, I like that. but I
43:08
think it's era, you know, I love these rallies, you go and we will make America great. Everyone's going
43:13
crazy, We had 1 the other night but you know what? Can I be honest? This was more fun than a rally today.
43:19
This is fun. This is good, right? This was very good.
43:31
We're going to take another. question from the audience. maybe the only job. in the country harder
43:36
than being president of the United States. is being a mom, especially under this
43:42
Administration. because they're making everything harder and tonight we have
43:47
a mom here we have audience. Barbara. that's behind us That has a question for you. Hi Barbara. Hello
43:57
back there. Good evening.
44:10
good evening. president Trump. Thank you for taking our question. My name is Barbara I'm a mom of 3. a
44:17
grandmother of 7. And 3, great. grands. A registered
44:24
nurse. Retired. retired nurse. So, I know the cost
44:31
that goes. into raising. children and running a household. Yeah. people
44:36
just can't survive now. How are you going to bring down
44:42
the cost of food? And groceries? Very good. Thank you. so, we have to
44:51
start. always with energy. always, I don't want to be boring about it, but there's no bigger subject. It
44:57
covers everything if you make donuts if you make cars whatever you make.
45:02
energy is a big deal. and we're going to get that. Uh, it's my ambition to get your energy bill within 12 months. down 50% if I
45:09
can do that. we've got a hell of a 505 not 1550. Interest rates are
45:17
going to follow. and actually, they're going to follow for another reason. The economy is now not good.
45:22
and interest rates, you'll see they'll do the rate cut and all the political stuff tomorrow. I think And you
45:28
know, Willie do a half a point, Will he do a quarter of a point? but the reason is because the economy is not good.
45:33
otherwise, you wouldn't be able to do it. but we're going to get interest rates down and we got to work with our Farmers, Our
45:39
farmers are being decimated. right now. They're being absolutely. Absolutely.
45:45
decimated. and, you know, 1 of the reasons is we allow a lot of farm product into
45:50
our country and we're going to have to be a little bit like other countries. We're not going to allow so much come. we're going to let our
45:56
Farmers go to work. and, I don't know if you remember. The farmers
46:01
because, you know, I had many meetings as president I had this gorgeous room with this beautiful table that seats about 35 people.
46:08
And I was with the farmers. are usually everybody wants something, They all want subsidy, but I was with the
46:14
farmers and I think you might have been there actually Sarah. I said look girls. we're going to get you such
46:19
a beautiful subsidy. Meaning I'm going to do things. and 1 of the people raises in sir Honestly we don't want
46:26
a subsidy, it's the first time that's ever happened to me. Everyone wants. They want money want. They want to build windmills, we want money.
46:32
with these windmills anyway. But you know what? It was
46:37
amazing. He said almost tears in his eyes, we don't, they were getting decimated. We don't want a
46:43
subsidy, we just want to play, you know, a fair level. Playing Field and I said, I said, nobody's ever
46:50
said that and I have many Industries and many groups of people from different things, You know, they do all different things. It's
46:56
probably the most dramatic I've ever seen. He didn't want anything only wanted was to be able to compete fairly. and the
47:03
reason the problem we have is other countries. they treat us very badly in that way. Also, they really
47:08
are. And you know sometimes the worst countries are our so-called allies. I say so-called because in many
47:14
ways they're not allies at all. they take advantage of us. They really take advantage. but we're
47:19
going to do with the farmers. We're going to do what we have to do with the farmers. We're going to put our farmers and do you remember the expression?
47:25
when I was negotiating with China, China said well, we're not going to deal with this because they never had anybody negotiate, they did
47:31
whatever they want. They just took us like, you know, for a bunch of suckers. But I told the farmers it's going to be a
47:37
very good negotiators. You're going to suffer for 6 months and then they're going to fold and that's exactly what happened. They
47:43
fold it, and they agreed to buy. 50 billion dollars, you know, you might have heard the story I said, How
47:50
much I went to the secretary of agriculture How much did they buy? He said. 15, I
47:55
thought he said 50. So when they're ready to make a deal at 15 billion, I said no, I want
48:01
50 that's what they've been buying. He said no, it's 15. I said you said 50 and
48:06
he said, no, we said 15. I said that's okay. Yes, for 50. Anyway, and we got it. We got it. And they
48:13
buy a lot of our product, but so we're going to it's just a great. interest rates and energy and Common
48:19
Sense. A lot of its common Sense. they've changed,
48:31
They didn't want any border. they said walls don't work 2 things work, what are the 2 things?
48:36
wheels and walls? you know if I do there's a gorgeous computer down here. in about 2 weeks. It's
48:42
going to be obsolete. Friend of mine is in that business. He hates it. He said we come up with a new model. and it's that
48:48
greatest about 3 and a half weeks later, the damn thing is totally absolutely. The only thing that never gets
48:54
obsolete is a wall. and a wheel and the wall is what we're talking about now.
49:00
and, you know, we build More than I ever said I was going to do. And then we
49:06
had that bad election result that disgusting result and they never put it up. you know what
49:11
they did with it. They sold it for 5 cents and it was expensive. All it was exactly what the border patrol wanted. with the
49:18
anti-climb plate On top, which I always hated because I didn't like the look of it. But, you know, they demonstrated it. We had
49:24
mountain climbers and a couple of drug climbers, too. These guys are amazing. They can they put a 100 pounds of drugs on
49:30
the back, and they go up the wall. like it's nothing. but they couldn't get over the plate. So all of a sudden they said,
49:35
okay I'll put the plate on, I didn't like it, I like it better without the plate, but it didn't work quite as well. So, this is
49:41
what we did. We had it, we had the best. We had a thing called remain in Mexico. you don't have to
49:46
be a genius to know, remain in. Mexico, is a very good thing And you think that was easy to get
49:54
I think, Tijana Mexico was probably the fastest growing city in the history of the world. okay? That hundreds of thousands. they couldn't come in when
49:59
they got in. they let everybody pour into our country. the Border. just to finish with the Border.
50:05
when I talk about energy to me, it's exciting. But to a lot of people, it's not but it gets exciting because we'll bring down
50:10
your cost of all that, but What people want to hear, and I believe, when I got elected I believe it was the
50:16
Border. there was the biggest thing and I fixed it. and I did a great job. and I wanted to mention it in 2020 and my people
50:22
would say Sir nobody cares about the Border, they don't care because I had it fixed. now. I got to fix
50:27
it again. I believe the border is of the greatest interest when you look at
50:32
When you look at What's
50:40
happening in Aurora? Okay, take a look at Aurora when you look at what's happening in Ohio, the great
50:47
state of Ohio, I love it. I'm way the hell up. I wish I was up 18 points in your
50:52
state, but we are up. We are up. I think when people hear what I have to say, I don't know how you can
50:57
possibly lose it. You I'll tell you this. and I'll say this for Michigan. if I don't win. you will have
51:04
no Auto industry within 2 to 3 Years. It'll all be gone and I know you got a little bit of an
51:09
increase. It doesn't I mean, that's the small stuff because it's just a temporary thing because you will not have any
51:15
manufacturing plants. China is going to take over all of your business because of the electric car and because they have the
51:21
material, we don't what we have is, The thing called the gasoline we have gasoline, we have so much. gasoline. We don't know
51:27
what to do. They don't have We will not
51:33
have a car industry left. Not even. a little bit of a car industry. So
51:42
That's what you're going to have. 7%, you're going to have 9%, whatever it may be and maybe someday the
51:47
technology becomes so good that you can do more. I mean you know, it's fine. but right now the Battery Technology isn't there for
51:53
long term I always say. I love the electric car but they don't go far enough and they don't do well, you
51:59
know in Iowa it was 28 degrees below zero. When we had our great success, in Iowa, we had a great And
52:05
there were cars all over the place. They said, what's wrong with those cars? They don't work well in cold. And they don't work very well in heat.
52:13
But elon's. The greatest endorsement. He he figures everything out. And
52:20
right now, he's got, he's got other things I think he's got to get a rocket up to get those 2 people out of their He
52:27
said Elon let's get going No they're relying on Elon to get the 2 people. who would like to be up there
52:32
right now saying we're coming back home, maybe in febuary. so, that was not
52:37
so good, but Elon will solve the problem. He's great. Great guy and he loves this state and he loves your your whole
52:42
everything you're doing here. and he's done a fantastic job. He really has. And if he didn't endorse me, I would not be
52:48
saying that okay. have a problem. I wouldn't be saying Thank you. We've got
52:54
time. I think for just 1 more question. when you were president, you built 1 of the strongest
52:59
economies. our country's ever seen 1 of the ways you did that. was by passing the largest
53:05
tax cut in America history. We have a question from Willie who wants to ask you something about taxes and
53:11
what something going to do? Good evening. I will need your president Trump. I'm a local
53:18
contractor in this town. He's a cool looking guy, too. He's better looking. than I'm I'm a local
53:24
contractor in this town and I live here my whole life. and um, I'mma tell you I'm
53:30
kind of concerned about crucial Kamala. tax increase Can you outline for the
53:35
people? What you plan on doing about taxes? Great, it's a great question. Look, she's going to double up your taxes. She wants to
53:41
turn it. The Trump tax cut Just that is going to lift up your taxes by 44%
53:47
just that 1. move. And remember I have it so that like, if you're a farmer or a small
53:53
businessman you have no inheritance tax. They're going to give that up. They're going to give everything you know, a lot of people don't realize.
53:59
I've been. you a lot of people didn't talk about it, but if you have a small business if you have a
54:04
farm someplace a lot of farmers, they have beautiful land but they don't have the cash and they leave it to their children. and they're so proud of their children. and
54:10
the children end up going bankrupt because they have to borrow money to pay off the estate tax. There is
54:15
no estate tax. And that's something that nobody even talks about, but that's helped that's saved a lot
54:21
of families. from having to sell. their Farm or losing. their Farm. but, but
54:31
she's got 1 thing, That's incredible. and un. Capital gain tax that will drive.
54:38
every business out of the United States. So what that is, is I don't know how they can possibly
54:44
administer. The only ones that are going to make money, or appraisers and accountants So, they're taking a business. might not
54:50
have not a lot of money but it might have great land and they're valuing it. And what was it this year Compared to next year? You
54:56
got to put down a value. And then you got to go out and you have to pay tax even though you haven't sold anything, it's the
55:02
craziest thing I've ever heard. and I don't know how any rich person or any person that's in business
55:08
can even think of supporting her. It's the craziest thing I've ever heard. So, and they're
55:13
going to raise the capital gains tax. Willie a lot Now as far as regular people
55:18
are going to have to pay a lot more tax. Your taxes, she said, 70 to 80% Some people will pay 70
55:24
80. You have to understand. a lot of these people are international business, People a lot of these
55:30
companies are international, They don't care if they hear or someplace else they go for the best deal.
55:36
They go for their shareholders. If they raise the taxes like that. they go to other countries you know who got a lot of our
55:41
comp companies is Ireland years ago. They took our pharmaceutical industry because they gave them a better deal. They will
55:47
leave our country. They will leave all those jobs. that we created. And I, I
55:52
want people to pay Fair taxes and all that but she's going to be raising your taxes to 50 60 70%. And
55:59
it's not sustainable And even for the companies if they have to pay too much, they're going to leave the country. and you're not
56:04
going to have any jobs So we have to be very, very careful about it. We have to be very, very careful. and
56:10
I have to tell you that this is really been an honor. I just this will be the most fun of any state
56:16
because we're going to bring back an industry that you can do it. You know, we're going to bring back an
56:22
industry. and, and mark my words. if for some reason,
56:31
some tragedy happens because it would be a tragedy beyond the auto business for the whole country. I really believe that. If a
56:38
tragedy happens and we don't win, there will be zero car jobs. manufacturing jobs, it
56:44
will all be out of here and that includes South Carolina that includes other places that are competitors of yours. you
56:50
won't be making. cars here anymore. You won't be making anything in our country anymore. We're going to bring it all back
56:55
but the 1 and I say this and I said it to another State the other night. and I said
57:01
this is not a good thing to say to another state, But I said Michigan's going to be the most fun. because you have you're so
57:07
set up for greatness. All you need is somebody smart at the top to say you can't
57:13
flood. our Market with cars. You just can't do it. and if I say, you have to
57:23
pay. 100%, you know China pays a big but I didn't do the big number yet. But if I say you have to pay 100
57:29
or 200%, it doesn't matter. big but I didn't do the big number yet, but if I say
57:35
you have to pay 100 or 200%, it doesn't matter because I'm going to say second sense, I hope you
57:40
don't mind this. However, if you build your plant in Detroit, or if you build it in Michigan or if you
57:46
build it anywhere in the United States for that matter, it seems to be the right location, but we're going to have more funds.
57:52
So, I'm telling them about Michigan and I'm saying, you know, the story is getting a little bit longer because
57:57
I'm talking about Michigan. I happen to be in another state. But everybody loved it because they know you you're recognized for this, we're going to get. Now they go
58:02
from paying a 100%. tariff to paying nothing. All they have to do is build their Factory and spend their hundreds of millions of dollars. in your state.
58:08
This will be like taking candy from a baby.
58:16
First, and you. well, I don't
58:25
think there's any question. That. America. Was better
58:30
off under Donald Trump. And we know that it's going to be even better.
58:35
the second time around.
58:49
Before. tonight. I knew you were going to win the presidency. I had no doubt.
58:54
Arkansas is going to come in here. but now I know you're going to win. Michigan by epic. Marvin
59:10
ladies and gentlemen. we need you to show up We need you to vote. because
59:17
the future of my kids, your kids are grandkids depends on whether or not.
59:23
Donald Trump goes back into the White House and I know you're not going to let us down. I know
59:36
president Trump is not going to let us down because he's shown us time and time again that no matter what comes at him.
59:43
no matter what the left throws at him. He's going to get back up and keep fighting for this country. that he loves
59:50
so much. Thank you, Mr. President. thank you, sir. Thank you very much. Thank you very much. Thank you,
59:59
everybody. Thank you, man.
