Ubisoft has been caught once again lying about their intentions with Yasuke and Assassin's Creed Shadows. Executive Producer Marc-Alexis Côté simultaneously confirmed the team is taking Japanese history very seriously, while going forward with their own interpretation of events. How can you reconcile those disparate positions?

Ubisoft is in trouble. This game will not offset a year of disaster, the stock price will continue to tank and this time next year the studio will be a relic of the past, prime real estate to set the next Assassin's Creed in!
