Jason Fyk
Jason Fyk is a social media entrepreneur, author, and advocate for free speech. He began his entrepreneurial career in his early 20s, selling Jeep parts on eBay and later transitioning to real estate. After the real estate market collapsed, Fyk founded WTF Magazine, an online publication.

In 2011, Fyk was arrested in Baltimore for recording a video of a small fight—an activity protected under the First Amendment. Although he was not involved in the altercation, he was falsely charged with conspiracy to commit first-degree attempted murder. After spending two months in jail, the charges were dropped, and the court issued an apology. This experience deepened Fyk’s resolve to fight against government overreach and protect free speech. Fyk turned to social media, and by 2013, his business was thriving, earning over $300,000 per month with a following of 25 million on Facebook. However, in 2016, Facebook abruptly unpublished many of his pages, citing violations of Community Standards, which significantly damaged his business.

In 2018, Fyk sued Facebook in the California courts, accusing the platform of anticompetitive behavior and misuse of Section 230 immunity. His case was dismissed, and although the U.S. Supreme Court denied his petition for certiorari, Fyk's case was simply ahead of its time. Later court decisions, such as
Henderson v. Public Data (4th Circuit), Anderson v. TikTok (3rd Circuit), Dangaard v. Instagram (Northern District), and Diep v. Apple (9th Circuit), have begun to catch up to his arguments on Section 230 and anticompetitive conduct.
Fyk continues his advocacy as the founder of the Social Media Freedom Foundation.

After six years of litigation, he is scheduled for oral arguments on November 20, 2024. In addition, Fyk serves as a subject matter expert, assisting other litigants in their fight against the censorship industrial complex. He has also filed a constitutional challenge to Section 230, seeking to protect the rights of all Americans from corporate and governmental censorship
