Ed Gein was born in 1906 in Lacrosse County, Wisconsin.

Ed Gein mainly did odd jobs in his early life but it was said he enjoyed babysitting most.

April 1st 1940 Ed Gein's father died of heart failure.

May 16th 1944, Ed and his brother Henry burning away marsh vegetation on their property during which the fire got out of control and attracted the fire department. After the fire was put out Ed had reported his brother missing.
They searched through the night and eventually his brother was found dead. Cause of death at the time was declared heart failure since he mysteriously wasn't burned. though after a later examination it was found Henry had bruises on his head. Because of this many believe Ed was responsible for his brothers death.

December 29th 1945 Ed Gein's mother Augusta died, devastating Ed.

Ed Gein would begin grave robbing cemeteries at night time. (Over 40 times stated by Ed in an interview.)

The morning of November 16th 1957 Ed Gein ended the life of Bernice Worden in the hardware store. Ed was caught later that night.

The gravestone of Ed Gein was stolen years ago but he was buried here next to his parents and brother. I also check out the town of Plainfield, Wisconsin and the land where his home once stood.

The Hardware Hank building actually does in fact stand where Worden's used to be.

Third part of this video I show Ed Gein's former property where his house once stood.

Psycho, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and Silence of the Lambs were all based off this man. This is what spawned Norman Bates, as well as Leather Face and Buffalo Bill.
