Hannah Nelson, Rosemary Nelson and Zachary Sims join us in the studio to introduce us to Lutheran Social Services of IL. There are thousands of at-risk children every year in our region who are in need of support and care. LSSI has programs in place to screen potential foster families, train and prepare those families and support those families during their time in fostering. Did you know you don't have to foster a child full time? You can be a mentor or volunteer for respite care or even provide emergency temporary shelter for a child until they are placed in their foster home.
