In the dead of night, Alpha Team embarks on a high-stakes mission to infiltrate a heavily fortified Russian gulag in Operation 627, the first campaign level in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III.

The mission begins with Alpha Team surfacing from their submarine and scaling the walls of the Zordaya Prison Complex using line launchers. Once inside, they swiftly eliminate guards and clear the way for Bravo Team to descend. As Alpha Team advances deeper into the prison courtyard, they get into position for a coordinated assault.

With Charlie Team initiating the attack, Alpha Team engages the guards, making their way to the air ducts. After Bravo Team cuts the power, Alpha Team descends into the prison, sparking a riot to create chaos. They fight their way to the ground floor and locate Prisoner 627's cell. To their shock, the prisoner is none other than Vladimir Makarov.

Alpha Team escorts Makarov through the prison courtyard, calling in Raptor's fire support to clear a path to their extraction point. However, the plan goes awry when an attack helicopter kills Alpha-3, forcing the team to change their escape route. Despite the obstacles, Alpha Team, along with Bravo and Charlie Teams, narrowly manage to escape with Makarov.
